Can a student get back the fee already remitted for internship if he/she is unable to attend the training for a few days?
No. Refund of fees once paid will not be permitted However, in cases where training could not be attended due to adverse natural conditions and Government-declared Red Alerts, students may attend the missed sessions with the approval of the Chief Engineer (HRM).No online/virtual session facility is available.
Can a student shift the allocated training dates to future dates?
Normally, date changes are not permitted.However, if the University reschedules examinations, students may approach the HRD Cell along with valid proof issued by the Head of Department / Principal of the College. Requests will be processed subject to availability of slots.
Will KSEB Ltd provide accommodation at Training Centres?
No. KSEB Ltd does not provide accommodation facilities for internship students at any Training Centre. Students are required to make their own arrangements for stay and travel.
If a student misses a day’s session, will KSEB Ltd extend the internship?
No. Students will receive the training completion certificate excluding the day(s) missed.
Is there any dress code for attending internship?
Yes. Students must adhere to safety and dress regulations:
• No loose clothing, dhothi, shawls, or unsafe attire.
• Safety shoes are mandatory.
Can students use mobile phones at Training Centres?
No. Mobile phone use is strictly prohibited inside Stations. Selfies or photography inside KSEBL premises is not allowed.
Does the internship certificate give preference for jobs in KSEB Ltd?
No. The certificate is issued only as part of the student's curriculum vitae requirements and does not guarantee job preference
What action will be taken if discipline is violated at training centres?
Depending on the severity of misconduct, actions may include:
• Reporting the matter to the Principal/HoD of the institution
• Removal from the training centre
• Informing the Police, in serious cases
Can a student apply for internship more than once?
Yes, based on availability of slots and the semester eligibility of the student.
Is internship available for Civil Engineering students?
Yes, in selected construction sites, depending on availability.
Can students select the training centre of their choice?
Yes. Available slots will be displayed in the portal.However, KSEB Ltd reserves the right to cancel or modify the allotted centre due to unforeseen reasons. In such cases, students will be given the nearest available alternative.
Can students from outside Kerala apply for internship at KSEB Ltd?
Yes. Identity verification will be conducted before admission at training centres.
If a Public Holiday is declared during the training period, will the missed sessions be compensated?
Yes, if the number of candidates on the compensatory day does not exceed the permissible limit.Extension will be arranged at the same training centre.

• A Recommendation Letter from the Head of Institution is mandatory.
• Internship is available for ITI / VHSE / Diploma / Graduate / Post Graduate / Engineering students.
• Maximum number of students per batch varies by centre. KSEB Ltd may revise limits without notice.
• Minimum training period is 5 working days.
• Students should remit the fees as per existing payment terms.
• Fee rates may change; prior notice will be given.
• All correspondence should be addressed to Chief Engineer (HRM), Vydyuthi Bhavanam, Thiruvananthapuram.
• Schedules once allotted will be changed only in unavoidable circumstances.
• No other KSEB Ltd facilities shall be used by students during training.
• Students are solely responsible for their safety and must follow all safety rules and instructions.
How do I apply through the new Internship Portal?
Students must register using their email ID, verify OTP, upload required documents, and select preferred centres based on available slots.

How will I know if my application is approved?
Approval status will be updated in the portal dashboard and notified via email/SMS.
How can I download the permission letter?
Once approved and payment is verified, the permission letter will be available in the portal for download.
